Frankenstein - Scented Book Candle
Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus was written in the Swiss Alps by an eighteen-year-old Mary Shelley. It became an instant bestseller on anonymous publication in 1818 and has been regarded as a masterpiece of suspension and the actual prototype of the science fiction genre.
This 1886 book cover with an introduction by the Rev H R Hawels, a Victorian Priest, who wasn't in awe by the core of the book, but appreciated "subtle analysis of "moods". Haweis also felt that Christianity and spiritualism were compatible, and attended séances himself.
